Papers point to Dowie

Iain Dowie to be the new Coventry City manager is a story making all the newspapers on Monday morning.

The former Crystal Palace and Charlton manager is said to have come through a second interview at the Ricoh Arena.

Dowie has also been linked strongly with the Leicester City job in recent weeks but the delay in Milan Mandaric's takeover of the club looks to have halted a move to the Walkers Stadium.

I don't think any City fan would complain if we did land Dowie, despite what happened at Charlton.
CET Stander
we might not complain- but how many of us would you hear cheering?
skyblueox
A fair few I think skyblueox given the relative paucity of options out there and the fact that we are not an attractive proposition at present. Who would you rather have?
CET Stander
More rumours! Sit tight!

Dowie would do the job
ccfcks
would have liked Eric Black but no chance with McGinnty on the panel. Dowie would be a good option

Interesting to note Chalton sacked Dowie even though he had recorded one more point this season than Alan Curbs had recorded last season. I beleive his downfall was due to the number of players he brought into the club, it was taking too long to get the team to gel. Ergo it has backfired on Chalton.

I think he is the best choice out off who has been put up, but who knows it could be someone who has not been talked about
ccfcks
Looks like its Dowie, no other names in the frame today.

Dowie has the job but I agree, I would have liked Black back. The fact that he is the most qualified coach in British football should have seen the managment panel swallow it's pride and get him to complete the job he started.
skyblueox
We voted Adams in most with the Heart a local boy or ex player Dowie is a manager no conection with CCFC but I think he will be a great Manager for us but we need to give him the time to do it,
