Can City Avoid Freezing by the Seaside?
With wintry weather forecast, Coventry City travel to the seaside this Saturday as they return to League Two action at Morecambe.
The Sky Blues sailed calmly through choppy FA Cup waters last weekend, despatching Boreham Wood by three goals to nil to earn a crack at Premier League Stoke City in the next round of the competition.
By the time that game comes around City will be past halfway in their league campaign and will be looking to have maintained their place in the play-off positions at the very least with the prospect of reinforcements being added to the squad when the January window opens.
But Mark Robins will still be confident that the personnel he already has at his disposal will be more than enough to take at least a point away from the Globe Arena.
While the Sky Blues are the lowest goalscorers in the top-half of the table, netting 21 times in their 20 matches, Morecambe have the fewest goals of those teams below halfway.
The Shrimps have just 15 strikes to their name so far this season but have conceded fewer goals than all of the teams around them at the bottom.
Their last three league matches have all been tight affairs, a goalless draw at Colchester, a 0-1 defeat at home to Crewe Alexandra and a 1-1 draw at Carlisle.
Morecambe will be without Sam Lavelle as he completes a two-match ban handed out for 'Successful Deception of a Match Official' against Carlisle.
'Looking back at the video it does look a little soft but in real time at speed, it is easier to get knocked off balance and at the end of the day if you feel contact in the box you go down,' he told his club's official website after the suspension was confirmed.
