Leaders Luton Await Sky Blues
Having failed to score for a fourth consecutive League Two fixture on Saturday afternoon, Coventry City end a blank and dismal October with a trip to face leaders Luton Town next weekend.
The Sky Blues did take a point from their home encounter with Colchester United but it was cheerless viewing for the meagre Ricoh Arena crowd as the hosts struggled to find a way past opponents reduced to ten men for the final quarter of an hour.
Mark Robins cut a frustrated figure afterwards, the loss of creative spark Jodi Jones to injury after 24 minutes not helping his mood, but there are still positives to take into the game at Kenilworth Road.
As toothless as they were going forward, City were again rarely troubled at the back and another clean sheet means it is now just eight goals conceded in 15 league matches to date.
That will provide a challenge to a Luton side who have outscored the rest of the division to date and whose last home game ended in a 7-1 victory.
They were held to a goalless draw at Crawley on Saturday, however, and the open nature of the division to date is shown by the fact that the Hatters are just seven points ahead of the Sky Blues down in eighth place.
