Former Bosses In Sky Blues' Sights

Former Bosses In Sky Blues' Sights

After the positive vibes of their opening day victory against Notts County, Coventry City come up against two of their former managers this week.

Tony Mowbray makes his return to the Ricoh Arena on Tuesday evening as Blackburn Rovers provide the League Cup opposition for Mark Robins' men.

Relegated from the Championship last season, Rovers were beaten at Southend United on the opening day of the new campaign although they remain one of the favourites to win the division and bounce back at the first time of asking.

On Saturday it is a trip to the seaside for the Sky Blues when they come up against Grimsby Town at Blundell Park.

Russell Slade is the man currently in the Mariners hot-seat at present and they got off to a flying start at Chesterfield on Saturday afternoon, ex-City defender Nathan Clarke scoring one of the goals.
