Good To See City Linked With Non-League Striker

Good To See City Linked With Non-League Striker

Something or nothing may come of the reported interest from Coventry City in Tamworth striker Danny Newton, spotted in the Tamworth Herald on Tuesday, but it is good to see the Sky Blues linked with any player from Non-League.

We have argued many a time here on Vital Coventry that City need to be more active in their recruitment from the lower levels as they try to put right many years of wrong decisions in terms of playing staff.

Newton is currently managed by former Highfield Road favourite Andy Morrell, a perfect example of the kind of reward a club can get when they take a chance on someone from the lower leagues.
