Scotland role for McAllister

Gary McAllister, the bookmaker's favourite to take over as Coventry City manager (and the board's too according to some reports), is set to team up with new Scotland manager Alex McLeish.

Reports in Scotland on Friday suggest that McAllister will take over Ally McCoist's game-by-game coaching role with the national side.

Whether that would preclude him also taking on a club management role remains to be seen.

The job at the Ricoh requires 100% focus - I like McAllister, but can't believe he is the future. For me Black/ Money should be the serious targets.
