'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Adams cryptic over future

Coventry City manager Micky Adams again refused to resign after his side's 2-0 FA Cup defeat against Bristol City on Tuesday, but hinted that he could be on his way soon anyway.

'This is a time not to be worrying too much about myself, because all will be revealed,' he said.

'I won't be resigning. But I am not going into all that now, because it will all come out anyway, and it would be disrespectful to Bristol City.'

Speaking after his side made it eight games without a win, Adams added: 'Bristol City came here full of confidence and had belief in what they were doing.

'We lacked that, and there was only one winner. We can only apologise to the supporters for a performance which was not good enough to say the least.'

Managing director Paul Fletcher has since said that a board meeting will be held on Wednesday to discuss the club's next move.

"Micky Adams is an absolutely lovely guy but it just isn't working for him at present," said Fletcher.

"He is not getting results and that is what he is paid to do. We are all answerable at the end of the day."
