John gets chance to impress

The Sky Blues reserves will take on Crystal Palace at Butlin Road in Rugby with a mainly young side on show.

However, Trinidad & Tobago international Stern John will feature after returning from his loan spell with Derby County.

John spent three months at Pride Park but did not make an impact upon Rams' fans and was left out of the side for the latter part of his loan.

As one of Coventry's highest-earning players, boss Micky Adams will be hoping that John either attracts interest during the transfer window or shows the form that he displayed towards the end of last season.
