Leeds move for City defender

Coventry City central defender Matt Heath is set to join Leeds United on loan on Thursday.

The 25-year-old has failed to make himself a first-team regular since joining the Sky Blues from Leicester in the summer of 2005 and could join Leeds permanently if he impresses Dennis Wise, who knows the player well after his spell at the Ricoh Arena last season.

Sky Blues boss Micky Adams is shaking up his squad after Monday night's toothless display at Stoke.

Robert Page has taken over as captain, while a loan signing could be in place for Saturday's game against Derby as Adams looks for more width and creativity.

Decent move for Heath, hopefully make it permanent in January and we can strengthen elsewhere.
