City turn to Page as skipper

Robert Page will take over from Stephen Hughes as Coventry City captain starting with Saturday's home game against Derby County.

Boss Micky Adams said: 'Robert is a vastly experienced player, both domestically and at international level, who is a natural leader on the pitch.

'He commands a huge amount of respect from both young and senior players and I believe this is the right decision for the club moving forward.'

Adams added: 'I'd like to thank Stephen for his contribution as skipper and hope that he continues to show the same level of commitment to the club moving forward.'

A decent switch I think. Hughes needs to concentrate on his game as he has been anonymous in recent weeks.

Shows that action is atlast being taken. As roberts said we have been off the pace...but I believe all season. The teams we have beaten have all had their troubles. Something must give; this season remains very uncertain.
