Pressley Pleased as City Land Striker

Coventry City manager Steven Pressley believes Simeon Jackson's pace will complement his other main strikers after landing the Canadian international on a one-year deal on Monday.

The Sky Blues boss said: 'If you look at the weekend's game there were a number of moments on the transition when we really looked like we could score but maybe didn`t quite have that speed to take advantage of the situation. He will give us that.'

Pressley's options are clearly stronger now than at the corresponding stage of last season and although his squad are missing the star quality that Callum Wilson provided they look better equipped to produce a more consistent League One campaign.

Having been without a club since the end of last season Jackson is unlilely to feature against Barnsley on Tuesday night or at MK Dons this weekend.
