Bare Bones for Bradford, Pressley Upbeat
Coventry City manager Steven Pressley says he is in a positive frame of mind ahead of the start of the Football League season with his squad generally adapting well to the 3-5-2 formation he intends to adopt, starting at Bradford City on Saturday afternoon.
'On the whole I've been very pleased with our preparations, pleased with how we`ve progressed,' he said despite defeat at Stevenage in the last of four friendlies in five days.
That result, albeit against physically imposing opposition, will give the manager some food for thought with his younger players having performed so well at Bristol Rovers on Friday night.
The options he has are in contrast to Bradford City boss Phil Parkinson who faces a week of trying to add to the 14 senior players he currently has on his books.
He ran the rule over some trialists at the weekend in a 1-1 draw against Hartlepool and said: 'We've got a couple more coming in today and one in particular who I think could be a good fit for what we need.'
Update Bradford have sealed a double deal on Tuesday, signing goalkeeper Ben Williams and forward Mo Shariff on non-contract terms.
