Striker Set For Sky Blues Switch

Striker Set For Sky Blues Switch

Josh McQuoid is poised to become the third AFC Bournemouth player to join Coventry City on loan this summer with Cherries manager Eddie Howe confirming a deal will be finalised this week for the forward.

Entering the final year of his contract with the Championship club, McQuoid's first-team chances have been sidelined by the arrival of Callum Wilson from the Sky Blues.

The Northern Ireland international will link up with Ryan Allsop and Mohamed Coulibaly at Sixfields until January.

'He goes on loan to get those games that he needs and, from our perspective, we will review his performances as the weeks go by and see where we stand,' said Howe, quoted in the Bournemouth Echo.

Update The deal has been confirmed with Steven Pressley telling the official CCFC website: "Josh is a player who very much suits the footballing philosophy at this football club."
