Four Games in Five Days to Test Sky Blues

Coventry City return home next week after an eventful pre-season training camp in Northern Italy but one that manager Steven Pressley will hope has been of use to his squad as they step up preparations for the new season.

As with last summer the Scot has opted to play two sets of back-to-back friendlies to test his options to the full. The Sky Blues face Newport County and Watford on Tuesday and Wednesday and then meet Bristol Rovers and Stevenage on Friday and Saturday.

Marcus Tudgay's presence in some of those matches will indicate that he has signed a contract with the club while a return to home soil should also see Pressley try and finalise the other signings that he has said he wants before the big kick-off.

That comes at Bradford on August 9 and, encouragingly, nearly 700 visiting fans have already snapped up tickets for that game.
