CCFC: New Quartet and Trialist Tudgay Feature

Coventry City manager Steven Pressley named two separate XI's for Saturday's opening pre-season friendly at Nuneaton.

New signings Shaun Miller, Ryan Allsopp, Jim O'Brien and Danny Swanson were all set for their Sky Blues bows.

Trialist striker Marcus Tudgay was due to play the second 45 minutes.

Updated Tudgay and the other second halfers got only eight minutes on the pitch before a heavy thunderstorm caused the game to be abandoned with Nuneaton a goal in front.

City now head off to Italy for a training camp and friendly fixtures against opponents including AS Roma 'B' and Serie A side Chievo.
