Familiar Face for City Boss in First Friendly
The men in opposing dugouts when Nuneaton Town host the now-traditional friendly with Coventry City on Saturday will be familiar to each other.
Former Ayr United boss Brian Reid, a friend of Coventry City manager Steven Pressley, begins his first full season in charge of Nuneaton Town hoping that a summer of rebuilding will lead to a tilt at the Conference play-offs and perhaps promotion into the Football League.
Like Pressley, Reid has opted to move south from Scotland to build his managerial reputation and beat off strong competition to land the job at Nuneaton after a short spell working in the Philippines and having done some scouting work for the Sky Blues.
'I like to try to pass the ball and I demand hard-working teams with good characters and a blend of youth and experience,' said Reid at the time of his appointment.
