City 'Planning for Sixfields but...'

Coventry City football development director Steve Waggott believes attracting players to join the club has been made more difficult by the move to Northampton but that the Sky Blues still have a 'name' in the game that is attractive to potential signings.

Speaking to the Coventry Telegraph, Waggott says he is planning his summer recruitment on being at Sixfields again 'but who knows what's going to happen in the near future' with the judicial review having finished and some tentative talk of talks between the various parties.

It's hard to see Sixfields being anything other than a negative for potential signings but City's away support last season and the way players have spoken positively about working with Steven Pressley are positive factors.

Money usually conquers all of course and the Sky Blues are likely to have a reduced budget this summer with which to mount a challenge for the play-offs although that has not stopped the likes of Leyton Orient this season and others beforehand from having good seasons.
