Wolves Boss Backs Clarke to Shine
Leon Clarke will be part of the Wolverhampton Wanderers squad that takes on Coventry City on Saturday afternoon but may have to be patient again as the League One champions have been in a fine vein of form recently.
At first glance Clarke's move away from the Sky Blues in January has not worked out for any of the parties involved although his presence on the Wolves bench may have helped motivate the attacking players already at the club.
Manager Kenny Jackett is looking towards the longer term and believes 29-year-old Clarke is coming into his prime as a player, backed up by the stats he produced during his year with CCFC (28 goals in 43 games).
Jackett told the official Wolves website: 'I feel a lot of big centre-forwards come into their own from about the age of 30...
'They have a calmness at that stage in their career that they don't have at 21, so I feel Leon's next few years will be his best.'
