Bees Boss Aware Of City Threat

Having signed Chuba Akpom on loan from Arsenal himself in January, Brentford manager Mark Warburton is aware that the youngster is one of a number of attacking threats that Saturday's opponents Coventry City have at their disposal.

Speaking in January about the player, Warburton said: 'I have enjoyed watching Chuba's development over the last two seasons and particularly noticed his contribution for Arsenal in the NextGen Series tournament.' Akpom made just a handful of substitute appearances for the Bees and his time with Coventry has been stop-start due to being needed by the Gunners for some important youth matches.

As part of his preview of an important game at Griffin Park, Warburton also spoke about the danger posed by Callum Wilson and Nathan Delfouneso and said of the Sky Blues: 'They get forward with pace and energy and desire.'

Vital Coventry will have more from the game over the course of the weekend.
