Pressley Delighted With Vital City Win

Steven Pressley hailed the reaction of his Coventry City side to Walsall's equaliser at Sixfields on Wednesday night after the Sky Blues regrouped to win the game thanks to Nathan Delfouneso's goal.

Both City strikes were excellent, Chuba Akpom playing in Callum Wilson for a calm finish before Delfouneso felt the benefit of the direct wing play of Michael Petrasso.

Goalkeeper Joe Murphy made crucial saves at crucial times to keep the Sky Blues noses in front while Pressley himself responded to a spell of Walsall dominance after the break with a substitution and tactical change that brought the hosts back into the game.

'I'm really pleased for the players tonight because they deserve this. They've had to deal with a lot this season,' Pressley told the official CCFC website.

Stats and more reaction to come on Vital Coventry on Thursday.
