Can Carlisle Recover From 'Nightmare' Journey?

Coventry City are scheduled to host Carlisle United at Sixfields on Tuesday night and while the Sky Blues were left disappointed by the postponement of their 'home' game against Bradford City at the weekend that is nothing to the frustrations felt by Carlisle on Saturday.

They made the long journey down to Crawley in the knowledge that their game was unlikely to go ahead but with the final call being made just a few hours before kick-off, an unacceptable situation for their supporters especially given the terrible recent weather.

For manager Graham Kavanagh and his team it meant two wasted days as he told the official Carlisle United website.

'We missed our training session on Friday because the priority was to get through what were horrific weather conditions safely. That proved to be no easy task because I have to say, at times, it was actually extremely dangerous.

'The game was then obviously called off so we are now faced with another day where all we do is travel. We will have to assess and evaluate the best course of action for us to take to make sure the lads are ready to go for the Coventry game on Tuesday.'
