McSheffrey Keen To Extend Career

After the strangest season of his career to date, which began as part of Coventry City's 'bomb squad' in the summer, Gary McSheffrey is embarking on life as a Scunthorpe United player having signed a short-term deal to join the League Two leaders.

In an interesting interview with the Scunthorpe Telegraph, the 31-year-old paints a picture of life in the lower leagues after a successful career at the top level.

Former Sky Blues loanee Chris Dagnall, meanwhile, has joined Leyton Orient after his release by Barnsley while Rotherham United have enquired about City's Leon Clarke after he made a transfer request earlier in the week.
