Will Strikerless City Go 4-6-0?

Coventry City's players are taking a short break ahead of their FA Cup trip to Hartlepool at the weekend, one that can justifiably described as 'well-earned' following the efforts of a small squad throughout the season to date.

The weekend win at MK Dons has revived spirits all-round and keeps the Sky Blues in a mid-table berth which seemed highly unlikely at the beginning of the campaign but they will have to shuffle the pack in attack against Hartlepool as Callum Wilson is suspended and new loan star Chris Maguire will not be allowed to play by Sheffield Wednesday.

As Leon Clarke is currently on the sidelines that leaves Steven Pressley hoping that Barnsley allow Chris Dagnall to feature in the game.

'Adopted'

If not, will Pressley opt for the 4-6-0 formation that drew negative headlines when used by the Scottish national team under Craig Levein but has since been adopted on occasion by Spain and has also been spied both in the Premier League and League One this season.

West Ham United used it to great effect when stunning Tottenham 3-0 at White Hart Lane while Swindon manager Mark Cooper has experimented with it in away games.

City certainly have plenty of intelligent, attack-minded midfield players at their disposal as well as full-backs who love to get forward so as a one-off for this weekend will they adopt the system?
