McAllister backed for Leeds job

Gary McAllister is as short as 11/4 to take over from Kevin Blackwell as Leeds United manager after a number of significant bets on him.

The former Scotland international's only previous experience of management was with Coventry City where he had a season-and-a-half in charge before stepping down to care for his ill wife.

McAllister was a popular player at Leeds in the 1990's although Elland Road fans were unhappy after he moved to Highfield Road in a £3m deal.

There's been loads of different people backed with the bookies. No-one's really too sure who's going to take over.
