'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Muddying The Waters

Gary Hoffman's well-publicised offer to help Coventry City remain at the Ricoh Arena drew short shrift from club chief executive Tim Fisher and, overall, doesn't do much to help solve the crisis that is currently engulfing the Sky Blues.

Allowing Mr Fisher to ridicule the deal on the table by comparing it 'Mafia' style levels of interest gives SISU/Otium more reason to pres ahead with their plans to groundshare at Northampton.

Mr Hoffman's support for the club is not in question but this is an issue that can only be solved by those in charge of CCFC talking directly to ACL in the presence of the Football League.

At Vital Coventry we don't for one minute expect that to happen but the involvement of third parties such as Mr Hoffman and the administrator Paul Appleton just muddy the waters at a crucial time.
