Defender Set To Take Second Chance At City

Defender Set To Take Second Chance At City

Coventry City's off-field problems look to be a silver lining for one player at least as Jordan Clarke attempts to make the most of his second chance with the club.

At the start of pre-season Clarke was originally told by Steven Pressley that his future lay elsewhere and he was banished to train with the seven other players not in the Scot's plans.

A change of heart, however, forced by a combination of a lack of central defenders and the ongoing transfer embargo has handed Clarke a route back, not only into the first team squad but as a likely starter when the season gets underway for real.

'I thought Jordan Clarke was excellent and looks very motivated and focused,' Pressley told the Coventry Telegraph after the 4-1 friendly win at Nuneaton.
