League One 2013/14

This weekend's play-off games saw the final line-up for League One in 2013/14 finalised as Bradford Citywere promoted from League Two at the expense of Northampton Town and Brentford missed out on a place in the Championship for next season, losing to Yeovil.

Whoever they choose as manager and whatever squad they put together, Wolves will start the campaign as clear favourites to win the division but after that it looks wide open.

Bristol City and Peterborough United will aim bouce back straight back after relegation but both Sheffield United and Swindon may have to cut their cloth financially after defeat in the play-offs.

'Myriad'

As well we know, Coventry City's on-pitch performance next season is dependent on a myriad of off-field factors.

Promoted quartet Gillingham, Port Vale, Rotherham and Bradford will have no fears about what they face at this higher level and the Yorkshire duo in particular may have money to spend over the summer.

MK Dons missed out on the play-offs but appear to be a club moving forwards while Preston North End could challenge under the stewardship of Simon Grayson, a man well experienced in getting sides out of League One having done it with Blackpool, Leeds and Huddersfield.

I think we can be classed as outsiders at the moment unless Pressley can build up some kind of 'us against them' spirit and get something extra out of his players. Wolves obviously favourites but Preston may be a surprise.
