Former City Stars & Great Pre-Game Music!

As it was a non Sky Blue Saturday, Vital Coventry decided to visit Ewen Field, home of Hyde FC of the Blue Square Conference. They were at home to Wrexham, winners of last weeks FA Trophy Final and currently pressing for promotion to League Two.

Playing for Wrexham were former Coventry players Stephen Wright, Dele Adebola, Kevin Thornton (Ginger hair today, what a wasted talent)and Mr 100% Andy Morrell who is also the Wrexham boss.

Hyde must play before the game some of the best rock songs ever recorded including ZZ Top. AC/DC, Staus Quo, Dire Straits and many others and the time just flew by. It is worth a visit to Ewen Filed just to listen to the music that is played.

Hyde won the game 2-0 before a crowd of 1800 and it was a great advert for the Conference.
