Coventry City Versus Colchester United

Against a fresh backdrop of reports about the club's financial state, Coventry City attempted to stay in the hunt for a top six finish in League One on Tuesday night when they entertained struggling Colchester United.

Steven Pressley prepared for his first home game as the Sky Blues boss knowing that form at the Ricoh Arena had been the key factor in his new side not being higher in the table going into the game. He would have been encouraged, however, by an excellent start to his time in charge in Saturday's 2-1 win against Scunthorpe.

The scorer of the winning goal in that game, Leon Clarke, was a doubt to face a U's side still looking nervously over their shoulders as the season enters its final furlong.

Vital Coventry will bring you news and reaction from the game as City look to keep alive their season on the pitch while nervously awaiting their fate off it.
