Micky: we deserved the win

Coventry City manager Micky Adams felt his side were well worth the three points after Stern John's first-half goal separated them from Leeds United on Saturday.

He said after the Ricoh Arena clash: 'It's a fantastic three points and a fantastic win, I don't think anyone can deny us this win.

'We played particularly well in the first half and really set our stall out.

'It was a fantastic goal, we're a very good side when we get the ball down and play and I'm delighted with the goal we scored.'

the first half was a really powerful performance with the goal being a contender for goal of the season. If there is to be a 'whinge' it is we should have gone in at least three up and therefore not be put through the wringer toward the end of conceding a soft goal, especially with a referee who could give strange decisions. But we are on our way....
