Coventry City Appoint Steven Pressley

'We wanted someone who could come in and hit the ground running because we have 10 very important games left this season.

'But we also wanted somebody who would take us forward into the future and prioritise youth development and the club's role in the community.'

Coventry City development director Steve Waggott explaining what the club were looking for in a new manager and confirming the appointment of Steven Pressley, who 'ticked every box', as the permanent choice to replace Mark Robins.

An undisclosed compensation figure has been agreed with Falkirk to allow the 39-year-old former Scotland international defender to take charge.
