Chuffed Carsley Calls For More Of The Same

Having chalked up an impressive start to his time as interim manager of Coventry City, Lee Carsley was quick to deflect praise away from himself and onto his players and backroom staff after the 2-0 win at Bury.

Carsley's first team selection saw him hand Nathan Cameron a start at centre-half in place of William Edjenguele and he was rewarded with a clean sheet and a professional display at the back.

Goals from Leon Clarke and Carl Baker put the icing on the cake and kept alive City's play-off hopes. Another excellent away performance, meanwhile, raises optimism that the three-goal deficit conceded to Crewe in the JPT can be clawed back.

'It gives us a real platform,' Carsley told the official CCFC website.

after the most bizarre of weeks even by Coventry City standards all credit must go to the players. From the first minute they were up for it and played really well. The fans gave their total committment to the club and the players...well done all of us.
