Walsall Next - The Penultimate Ricoh Visitors?

Coventry City host Walsall on Saturday in what could quite easily be their penultimate game at the Ricoh Arena given the threat and counter-threats issued this week.

Wednesday's breaking news took the wind out of Sky Blues' supporters after what had been the most positive evening for the club in quite some time with Mark Robins' side making the semi-finals of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy to continue their slow, steady improvement under the new manager.

Assuming off-field matters don't play a part then that improvement should continue at the weekend in what is City's main local derby of the season.

Walsall have now gone 14 games without a win after failing to beat the division's whipping boys Hartlepool last Saturday but have been performing relatively well away from home with 3 defeats out of 10 on their travels and only 11 goals conceded.

***Stadium Latest*** ACL have come out fighting by saying that SISU rejected an 'excellent' deal to come to an agreement on the rent issue, one that they 'wouldn't have offered to any other tenant.'

Typical for Sky Blues followers. Driving home after the win on Tuesday night feeling good that the team is on the right lines and moving forward, then wake up Wednesday morning to the rent issue. UNBELIEVABLE

'No liquidation scenario' says Tim Fisher but how can the club be confident that any court or judge won't rule in favour of ACL? They're on a collision course now and we're all caught in the headlights.
