1987 All Over Again In FA Cup

The Sky Blues have been rewarded after Saturday's victory over Morecambe with a visit to take on Tottenham Hotspur in the 3rd Round of the 2012/13 FA Cup, sponsored by Budweiser.

Memories of that magnificent day in 1987 will be relived by all Coventry City fans as they prepare for a second big cup tie in North London this season after the League Cup trip to face Arsenal.

The tie will take place over the weekend of January 5th 2013 and boss Mark Robins told the official club website that he was delighted with the draw.

"This is a really good cup tie. Yes we wanted to be at home, but we now have the chance to play against one of the top sides in Europe who are steeped in FA Cup history and we will be relishing that chance."

Another windfall financially from a 30,000+ gate so as good a draw as we could have had from that point of view.
