Sky Blue Stats-shot: Attendances

20 games into the League One season and Coventry City stand 3rd in the attendance table behind Sheffield United and Portsmouth.

The first home game of the campaign against the Blades attracted a gate of 12,621 - the highest of the season to date at the Ricoh Arena.

A low of only 8,862 were there when Crawley came to town with the average gate currently standing at 10,527.

A continued improvement in form will be needed from the Sky Blues to keep that average above five figures over the rest of the campaign.

Gates have not quite fallen off the cliff just yet but we need to keep up our improvement if they are to gradually get better over the course of the season. If we have nothing to play (except a relegation battle) in the new year then sub-10,000 average is a possibility.
