Sky Blues Need Home Boost

With only two league wins at the Ricoh Arena to date this season, Coventry City need to improve their home form during December as they also face a trio of tough away trips during the month.

After the home cup ties against Morecambe and Sheffield United, Walsall and Preston North End come to CV6 over the next few weeks while Mark Robins takes his team to meet three sides who are currently in the thick of the League One promotion race.

The Christmas period is especially tough as City go to Stevenage on Boxing Day and then travel to MK Dons on December 29th.

'Our target now has to be becoming more consistent at home,' said Richard Wood after the late drama against Portsmouth denied City three points in their last home league game.

'I love you, you pay my rent'

Home, for now, remains the Ricoh Arena despite the stadium once again being the subject of more speculation this week over the non-payment of rent by the football club.

Vital Coventry is not going to go into detail on this issue. For one thing it is being well covered in the Telegraph and for another, despite words like 'stalemate', 'hardball' and 'deadlock' being used, the situation remains much the same as it has since the summer and until the football club are either turfed out of the Ricoh or a deal is done on ownership it is business as usual.

All we can do is get behind the team on the pitch and hope that things off it sort themselves out. Two good cup results will help.
