Robins Sees Signs Of Sky Blue Improvement

Mark Robins felt that both the result and the manner in which his Coventry City side dealt with a dangerous Crawley outfit on Tuesday night bodes well for the Sky Blues.

Visting boss Richie Barker felt his men were 'by far the better side' but Robins, while admitting Crawley caused problems for the hosts, said afterwards: 'Our confidence is building and our fitness is improving.'

Tellingly, Robins also said: 'We lasted the 90 minutes very well,' a key point given the amount of times Coventry have thrown away leads this season and looked out on their feet towards the end of games.

Fans at the match or listening in would have feared the worst when Billy Clarke brought Crawley back into the game (with a goal Robins felt was 'fortunate') but it was a hugely positive sign to see City get the all-important 4th goal and then go on to close the win down.
