Sky Blues Look To Avoid Making Headlines

Coventry City will be happy to be featured towards the end of Saturday night`s FA Cup highlights programme on ITV as it means the Sky Blues will have avoided a shock result in their 1st Round tie against Southern League minnows Arlesey.

In a competition that he will be forever linked with thanks to a famous goal for Manchester United, Mark Robins may see the game as an inconvenience to his main aim of moving City further up the League One table but will know all too well the consequences of a defeat to his own and the club`s (battered) reputation.

Some of those currently on the fringes of the first team may get their chance on Saturday and Robins has been giving his assessment of his squad men to the Coventry Telegraph on Wednesday.

In transfer news meanwhile the Sky Blues will not be offering a loan deal to trialist Stephen McGinn and have loaned out Kevin Malaga to Nuneaton Town.

Fair play to Malaga for accepting the loan. It's a far cry from what he must have been expecting when he came over in the summer.
