Sky Blues round-up

Coventry City appear to be closing in on a deadline day deal for Rangers striker Nacho Novo.

The Spaniard is not in the plans of new Ibrox boss Paul Le Guen and a fee of £500,000 is set to take him to the Ricoh Arena.

...That deal though will not signal the exit of Dele Adebola according to boss Micky Adams.

The big striker has been linked with Hull, Ipswich and Leeds after seeing Kevin Kyle signed last week but Adams said: 'He's not for sale, but every player has his price.

'As far as I'm concerned Dele is very much part of my plans here.'

...Moroccan wideman Faysal El-Idrissi has been released after just two games in a Sky Blues shirt.

Adams told the club website: 'We would like to thank Faysal for his efforts during his time here but we decided not to offer him a deal.

'I would like to wish him all the best as he looks to get himself fixed up with a club.'

...The home game against Colchester United will be played on Monday 23rd October at 8pm after it was chosen for live Sky coverage.

It really does beggar belief that for those of us who travel long distances to home games that the Colchester games reverts to a Monday. Our return travel to home games is 280 miles and for weekday games means a day off from work with the subsequent loss of income. Just a thought but does the Sky fee really compensate for all the various losses that will no doubt occur with the reduced gate for this game. How many stayed away from the Leicester game because of TV but anyway who is concerned we are after all on fans.
