Thorn pleased to bag Barton

Thorn pleased to bag Barton

Despite reports of late interest from Peterborough in his services, young midfielder Adam Barton has joined Coventry City from Preston North End.

PNE were willing for Barton to move on as he did not figure in manager Graham Westley's plans for the future and had to start his pre-season work away from the first team.

"This is a great signing for us,' said City boss Andy Thorn.

'Adam is a big talent and we think he can do extremely well for us.'
