Sky Blues fail their ICT test

Sky Blues fail their ICT test

Coventry City went down to a 3-1 defeat to Inverness Caledonian Thistle on Saturday as Andy Thorn continued to put his men through their paces ahead of the new season.

The SPL side, whose season starts two weeks earlier than the Sky Blues, netted through Richie Foran, Bill McKay and Jason Oswell with Shaun Jeffers on target for the visitors.

John Fleck missed a penalty for City who now return home to incorporate new signings Callum Ball and Reece Brown into their plans for the 2012/13 campaign.

Vital Coventry's man at the Caledonian Stadium felt City lost their way in the latter stages of the game and ended up resorting to long balls which produced little.

The absence of Cody McDonald also highlighted the need for someone to put the ball in the net on a regular basis as the Sky Blues made plenty of chances which went begging.
