Olympic Football at the home of the Sky Blues

Olympic Football at the home of the Sky Blues

The renamed City of Coventry Stadium, home to Coventry City Football Club, will be the proud host of both Mens and Womens Olympic Football matches during the London 2012 games with indications being that healthy crowds will be in attendance at all sessions.

The football tournament gets underway on Wednesday 25 July, two days before the official opening ceremony and Vital Coventry hopes that anyone going to a match in the city has a day or night to remember.

Full details of the tournament and the games taking place in Coventry can be found at the official London 2012 website.

Telegraph today says around 20,000 tickets have been sold for each session apart from Sunday 29th which is a sell-out. That's pretty impressive.
