Sky Blues underway on Saturday

New signings Kevin Kilbane, Stephen Elliott and John Fleck as well as trialist Steven Jennings should all play a part in Saturday's first pre-season friendly for Coventry City while those supporters who make the short trip into Leicestershire may also see another new face as Andy Thorn closes in on the capture of a centre-half from Europe.

Thorn, who has arranged a busy schedule for the Sky Blues over the next few weeks, will mix and match his senior players and the development squad for the fixture.

City then travel to the Scottish highlands for games against Brora Rangers and SPL duo Ross County and Inverness Caledonian Thistle.

***Update***The central defender has been revealed as Frenchman Kevin Malaga, 25, who has signed a three-year Sky Blues contract.

Interesting news about the central defender, be good to get another signing in before the friendlies start.
