Opening opponents strengthen squad

Coventry City's opening day opponents Yeovil have continued their summer rebuilding with a double swoop for two experienced players.

Manager Gary Johnson, strongly linked with the Sky Blues job in the past and who returned to his former club towards the end of last season, has drafted in striker James Hayter from Doncaster and full-back Jamie McAllister from another of Johnson's old clubs Bristol City.

"Our squad is an excellent mix now of youth and experience, and I will be announcing a couple of younger exciting prospects on Monday," Johnson told the official Yeovil website.

"We can get lots of work done with our new squad nice and early."
