'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Norwood explains Huddersfield move

Oliver Norwood has said that Huddersfield Town was always his likely destination once the newly-promoted Terriers had made a bid for the midfielder.

The Sky Blues expressed their interest in re-signing their former loan star but whether City were serious contenders or not is unknown.

Both Huddersfield and Barnsley had bids accepted by Manchester United and the Northern Ireland international has, rightly for his own career, opted to join the Terriers, new in the Championship but with an ambitious owner and manager who will be looking to do more than just consolidate this season.

'Looking at the squad and who the manager wants to recruit, there's no reason why we can't be challenging for promotion,' he told the official HTFC website.

***Update***The Sky Blues have also confirmed on Saturday that James McPake has made a permanent move to Hibernian following his successful loan spell in Edinburgh last season.
