Sky Blues turn to former star

Sky Blues turn to former star

The gap created by Steve Harrison's departure from Coventry City is set to be filled by the Sky Blues' popular former defender Richard Shaw.

A former team-mate of manager Andy Thorn, Shaw will become number two at the Ricoh Arena after leaving a coaching role at Millwall.

Having played for City for a number of years Shaw will be a familiar face and a positive appointment among fans.

He featured alongside Thorn in the Crystal Palace side that made it to the FA Cup final in 1990 before going on to make over 300 appearances in a decade-long spell with the Sky Blues.
