'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Blast from the plast - Andy Whing

Forever etched in the history books of Coventry City as the last goalscorer at Highfield Road, Andy Whing's battling qualities are still seeing him holding down a good career in the Football League.

The defender is described on the official Oxford United website as a 'big favourite with the fans for his never say die attitude' and was voted Player of the Year in his first season with the U's.

Vital Coventry wishes Whingy all the best for the coming campaign when maybe his old and new clubs will meet in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy.
