Daggers drawn for City in League Cup

Daggers drawn for City in League Cup

The newly-named Capital One Cup will kick off for Coventry City with a trip to the capital to face League Two side Dagenham & Redbridge in the opening round.

This season's League Cup competition will be the competitive curtain-raiser to the 2012/13 campaign as the big Football League kick-off has been put back.

Ties will take place in the week commencing 13th August with the possibility of a giant-killing making City's game a potential TV tie.

Andy Thorn said of the draw: 'It's a great chance to progress and it will be great to give our fans something to cheer about.'
