League One familiar faces: Jermaine Grandison
Coventry City will come into contact with a number of old boys when they drop into League One next season including a young defender who has blossomed away from the Ricoh Arena.
Jermaine Grandison, a central defender who befits the description of 'towering', made his Sky Blues debut as a substitute in the final home game of the 2008/09 season.
His only start for the club came the following season in a League Cup clash with Hartlepool, Grandison suffering from playing in a position where City have been relatively well-stocked in recent years.
A loan move to Tranmere Rovers at the start of the 2010/11 season kickstarted Grandison's career, manager Les Parry praising the youngster's contribution after his time in Birkenhead had ended.
Shortly after it was off to Shrewsbury, initially on loan before a free transfer move last summer.
Grandison played a key role in his new club's promotion to League One where he will face City next season while also becoming a big hit with fans of the Shropshire club.
