Austerity bites hard for Sky Blues

To finish a thoroughly depressing week for Coventry City followers is the not unexpected news that, with the playing budget for the new season slashed, no offer is to be made to keep Martin Crainie.

It is disappointing that he will be leaving but he now joins the growing band of players moving on, Sammy Clingan, Freddy Eastwood and Danny Ireland and probably others during the coming weeks.

It is difficult to understand everything that is going on at our club as SISU, Tim Fisher and Gary Hoffman and associates are all less than forthcoming in the communication's department and you do now begin to despair of the future of our club.

The close season is normally a time of expectation of new players and an eagerness for the new season to arrive quickly but not in our case. All we ask is WHAT IS GOING ON AT THE RICOH?
